Car history: |
For Sale is my 1972 Corvette Convertible Roadster project. This car is a fairly well optioned with PS, PB, power windows, tilt steering and factory hardtop. All the original documentation from before it was built is there: the original Order Sheet, the Build Sheet, the Deposit receipt, the Delivery paperwork, the WINDOW STICKER, Protecto Plate, Owners Manual, and so on - see pictures. It has the original hardtop, a good interior headliner and a complete soft top frame. The tires are almost new.
Background: When I got this car, it ran well, but it had a non stock hood, fixed, glassed in headlights, and side louvers "updated". The previous owner had also relocated the batterey to the engine compartment and had new suspension bushings, etc. It had also sustained a minor hit from the rear, with no damage to anything structural. I decided that I would make the hood, wiper door and headlights stock and fix the rear and basically restore it. Since it had the number matching engine and ALL the paper work. I have almost every part to finish the project except the bumpers, vacuum hoses, and a few other odds and ends. I had the seats recovered with the original Comfort Weave and new foam. There is no rust on the frame or birdcage - it is an extremly solid car.
Unfortunately I have too many projects, so this one must go.
The car has not been started since December 2010. I will try to get it started and help with loading it.
